RESISTANCE TO SCRATCHINGQuartz has a hardness of 7 in the Mohs hardness scale (diamond is number 10). Therefore, whereas with the majority of other worktops, such as those made of graniteor melamine, which can get scratched, with Silestone no mark is left. Silestone is highly resistant but should not be treated with reckless force, care needs to be taken with knife blades. |
