Material Colour Blue in the night granite is also known as blues in the night,Midnight Blue, nero azul and azul notche.
of Material
Blue in the night granite is an intensive coloured, medium-grained, dark blue to black iridescent syenite (larvikite) of the Permian period. Internationally this may be known as a granite but this stone must be nominated as a syenite. Ideal for both interior and exterior use,Blue in the night granite is hard wearing, polish constant with Bright, flickering and intensive petrol blue mother of pearl quality colour on a darker,(in places) almost black background.
A Blue in the night granite worktop excels under cabinet lighting making this stone stand out as one of the most beautiful type of kitchen worktops. The iridescence on the polished surface is a result of the reflection of light from the feldspar crystals. This is only seen in a few select granites.

Colour Change and Variation in slabs For large projects we ensure that the blocks are all extracted from the same quarry for matching purposes.Blue in the night is another fairly even colour with a well distributed figure and pattern that can be unpredictable yet very beautiful in larger worktop sizes.Blue in the night granite is semi-porous and may be prone to absorb liquids therefore dry treat - stain proof should be applied before using as a work surface. blue in the night granite, although beautiful is also prone to breakage in longer worktops with sink or hob cut outs so extra jointing on a kitchen may apply(compared to other granites or other types of materials(quartz surfaces)).
Material Type, Important Information.....
Granite is a natural product. The actual granite available may slightly differ both in shade and pattern from the pictures shown on our website. We actively encourage customers to visit our showroom, factory and stock yard to choose your granite slabs before fabrication. This ensures you get the right product and information on your selection every time.
We recommend that you do not buy granite over the internet or from samples sent in the post. Huge variations can occur not only between different slabs but in the slab its self, from one end
to the other.
When spending so much money on something that you will have for years its certainly worth investing the time and effort to get it right, first time-
in short -
always view the slabs that your wortkops will be made from !
